Creating vacation destinations out of residential worlds

One of my favorite things to do in game is send my sims on vacation. I was curious if anyone has any great ideas or lots that you have used to create vacation destinations within residential worlds.

I added my first DIY bed and breakfast to the game. I have an elderly couple and their horses living on the island in Brindleton Bay. When I want my sims to go on vacation there I move them in and pretend they are staying at the B&B. Then at the end of vacation I move them back out. I'm going to create a haunted house B&B next.
