Dirty chickens in Cottage Living

One of my chickens has a green stink cloud over and its hygiene status is dirty but there's no option to clean it! I have the option to clean both my cow and llama but not the chickens. Have missed out on something? Do I need a chicken scrubber?

you can click on the coop to clean it not sure yet if that cleans the chickens but maybe.
  • i had that happen and i cleaned the coop and eventually the chickens cleaned themselves
  • That worked! I cleaned their coop and that took care of the stink cloud on the chicken. Taking care of these animals is basically 24/7 job I have 3 sims taking care of 6 chickens, a cow and a llama and they still aren't happy lol
  • As well as cleaning the coop and waiting, spellcasters can use scruberoo on them

I may need to get that pack. I must've forgotten to clean the coop yesterday and when I went out today, I have noxious chickens everywhere lol
  • had that but coop was clean and it didn't go away so i sold the lone stinky fellow

Nobody ever said running a farm was easy. LOL I have my Sims rise very early to tend to the animals and the crops. I have altered Rotation play between my two households I placed into HoB, so that I can have both households take care of their animals and crops. Yes, it's hard, but we've all grown slack since Sims2 (when it was hard just to keep a pregnant Sim alive) with the way the franchise itself has dumbed down the game starting with Sims3. Quite frankly, for me, what used to be easy is now hard. I have to get those 'muscles' acquainted with the rhythm it takes to achieve a balance to make it all work. I also use the Make Happy cheat, a lot, on my Sims. It helps. Also, in case you haven't become aware, the Child Sims can do many of these tasks, too. THANK YOU, EA. I have two full households. House 1 has three male Teens, two Child females and a male Toddler. (Trying to balance farm life with domestic life, the poor Toddler still wets his pants!) House 2 has two female Teens, two male Child Sims and a female Toddler who happily achieved Potty Training level 3 in a prior game save.) Did I design these households in this fashion. No. This is my Ancestral game save. The eldest Teen in house 1 married the eldest Teen in house 2. Without them, I wouldn't be here, nine generations later. ;)
