I used to play with headline effects off A LOT, almost all the time for years. I did it for the screenshots. However I didn't like how I was missing a lot of game cues, thought bubbles etc. I take plenty of screenies, so it was too much trouble to turn it on/off. So I decided from now on I will take my screenshots with plumbobs! It's sims, so either one should be fine, also in screenshots the plumbob can tell something (mood or who was controlled).
