Yes I do. How could I forget? I wasn't a gamer to speak of. But I was very glad (when my daughter and son-in-law were stationed in Kansas) that her sisters-in-law introduced her to the Sims. Her husband had been sent off to Kuwait, and she knew next to nobody in a state far from the rest of us. She would call, daily, but mostly chat about this silly game! I tried to listen, while my eyes glazed over. LOL
Then after her husband returned, he got her the Sims2 for Christmas. While she was curious about this new iteration, she had just gotten Makin' Magic and wanted to fully explore this expansion before she moved on. Well, ultimately, she played Sims2 and was amazed beyond reason. Apparently, it was far more advanced than the Sims. So, our topic of conversation switched to this game.
They returned to our home state and when she first came to visit, brought their gaming laptop with her for the express purpose of showing my the Sims2. Like a good sport I sat in front of this computer. Then she nudged me to try out CAS and create a Sim. I did. Then she suggested I place my Sim into a house. So I did. Then she guided me into playing the game. Bit by bit. Before I knew it, I was hooked! In fact my addiction was so rapid it left my family in awe. I was never a gamer! In fact, I really loathed sitting around playing such things. LOL
This took place in the spring of 2005 (May, I think). By that August I had my own copy of Sims2 and a brand new gaming computer to play it on. Like I said, my addiction was swift.
