i've stated a lot of strong opinions lately. many negative, i'm sick of sims 4, kill it and lets get over it type posts.
but this is my true hope for the "New Sim's 4 Experience"
I hope that they knew all along that this game would never fly for most original long time simmers. they already stated that they intented to stretch this games lifespan beyond previous games. yet this game isnt smart enough as a result of missing original intentions and as some would choose to use instead of the word limitations, "design choices".
my hope is that they spent the last 4 years redesigning the games core mechanics from the ground up. stripping it away from it's multiplayer destination that was never used and replacing it with real single player smarts of the previous games that just arent in the sims 4. making it somewhat as great as all the previous games. that is what i would love more than anything for the sims 4, then i wouldnt mind seeing goto 2020 or beyond. i might actually go out and start buying it again.
do i think it will happen? likely not. even if they did this tremendous amount of work, it would still be only somewhat as great. it still wouldnt be create your world. its doubtful they would add in all the customization and open world greatness.
sims 3 was abandoned in a broken state with a warning not to use all the DLC that you payed for...
disable these packs that we sold you for a better game experience... so you can have a better game experience.
basically telling you thank you for spending all your money idiot, now make sure you dont use what we sold you.
oops... so much for a more positive post.
but in my opinion, it's the only way to #SaveTheSim4 and increase it's longevity. and still what i really hope for. i hate thinking of the money i already dumped into the sims 4 as wasted.
