If the base game is good I can overlook certain theme not yet arriving, I played Sims 3 since before Late Night and was playing base game only for months I wasn't thirsty for new content because the base game was pretty good, and I certainly didn't keep waiting for a new pack after installing a new EP back then.
At this point for Sims 4 even after new pack has been released Ill always wondering when the new pack announcement is gonna be.
