To be honest in the beginning I wasn't all that mad about not having toddlers. It was cool to go from baby to child but the longer I played the more bored I got. I hate the new aspirations because it's almost impossible to complete them in a lifespan on any age. The skill building as a child is very linear, but they're a must if you want your child to succeed in school/fill aspirations. As a teen there's not much to do either. Their part-time jobs are just as hard and that's frustrating so what do you expect a toddler to do? There's barely enough story progression to keep up with the life stages so no life long friends/lovers from child to young adult. I've had to create families just to have my teens fall in love with and eventually marry. And may I say I've had to create them with the same last name because THAT doesn't change when you get married.
Also I shouldn't have to download a mod to do the things that should be done automatically, like putting books into a bookshelf and not just putting it on a different floor because that just seems like the logical thing for the AI. If they don't fix these simple things don't expect anything new or different and in good quality. No I don't want to have to wait forever for more expansions but I also don't want to shell out more money on less than good quality add-ons.
Sorry if I got off topic but I've been holding this in since day 1 lol
I really hope they'll add something in for teens -- it's so hard to find other teens in the neighborhoods because by the time you start talking to someone you find out that they're actually a young adult. Even just a quick interaction like "Ask Age" in the beginning of the conversation would keep from wasting too much time on someone who's generationally unaccessible. I'd love to see some sort of special teen hangout where teens could come and do homework (bring back the "Do Homework With..." interaction), play video games (add some actual two or more person consoles so Sims can play together, like the tabletop games we got in Sims 3) or maybe add the ability to have LAN parties if you have several computers in a room, have a snack bar or vending machines for when the teens get the munchies, and of course a place to dance and have some fun and maybe a bit of romance.
