While I love spontaneous dates and parties, I'd like to be able to arrange them in advance as well. This should even give you a "bonus" for certain formal party types, such as weddings and dinner parties. It's not fair to deprive your friends of the chance to be at and brag about witnessing the wedding of the century just because you didn't have a chance to tell them your plans even an hour ahead of time!!
