I love the creative skills most. Nearly all my Sims end up being able to paint, for example, because the results are interesting. I also tend to have my main Sims max all the cooking related skills just through doing them so often. Fitness is a good one too; easy to level and lets me control how my Sims look physically depending how often I make them work out. Oh, and I love love Gardening. All my Sim heirs max their gardening as teens at this point. Awesome skill.
Charisma is a real stinker, especially when it's needed for career progression. It's not entirely obvious how to level it while having conversations and standing in front of a mirror practicing a speech is Sims 1 levels of boredom for skill levelling. I'm really glad that GF added the ability to level charisma with the video editing station (if you use it to record VLogs).
