I wouldn't say it grew on me. The stuff I disliked at the start I still dislike and most likely always will as I don't expect EA to fix it anytime soon (read never). That said what I liked at the start I still like and the game is still "okay". It's fun and I'm enjoying it but every time I go back to 3 and build a lot where I can truly have matching furniture and walls and rugs ect using the far more adaptable and flexible build mode, as well as design clothing in colors and patterns that fit my taste, as opposed to the designers at Maxis taste, not to mention create a distressed world to surround a distressed area (as opposed to being surrounded by vivid pink and green trees) I'm reminded of what is lacking in 4 that I really enjoyed in 3- not to mention I still design buildings and neighborhoods with the idea that the world is open, when of course it's not and I might as well put my sim's place of work wherever, a totally different world, as far as convenience goes. Anyway, it was "okay" at the start and it's still "okay" and time will tell if it ever rises above it's current spot as LAST on my list of favorite primary (not spin offs) Sims games.
