It switches to Custom, but is still all ultra settings, and you can still uncheck the post processing effect. I keep that one unchecked, and compressed sim textures checked and still have all my other settings completely maxed out just fine. So, if it won't let you uncheck that with your settings maxed, you might want to start troubleshooting.
