I keep CoreTemp visible in the status bar, and it normally indicates below 50% CPU utilization while the game is running.
But sometimes it stays at or close to 100%, and when that's the case, Task Manager shows that Origin is using nearly all of that. It's intermittent and infrequent, and after ending task on Origin, it goes back to normal. The problem is with Origin, or with something that doesn't cause a problem when Origin isn't running.
@OP, you might try clearing Origin's cache: https://crinrict.com/blog/2014/09/delete-origin-cache-files.html. Also, restart right before playing. And, update or disable virus protection to see if it's involved.
