Help me understand Family Leave for work-at-home careers

I'm having trouble using Family Leave for the work-at-home careers and am trying to figure out if there's a bug going on or if I just don't understand the gameplay. I posted this on AHQ Game Issues ye...

I found your post. If I get the same thing happening, I'll add a me-too and whatever observations I've got. But I probably won't have time for testing until Saturday.

Just in case it matters, which work from home careers have you tried with?
