For me I kind of like that they do not do much. It makes it so my Doctor can get more cases. I am having trouble getting past level 7 of the career though because it requires you to perform surgery on 3 patients, and so far I have only gotten one surgery diagnosis in roughly a sim week. Actually a female doctor in my game stays very busy. She does analysis then goes to the patients I examined, takes out her pad, talks to them and steals my patient....lol...then I can go treat them after that. (red heart) the game keeps telling me to transfer cases (I'm a tech or something and can do all sorts of test with machines) but she steals them before I have a chance to transfer the patient's case. lol
In my game that stopped once I hit the next promotion. The doctor now does nothing. I found going and placing patients that are forever waiting in line at the front desk (receptionist desk) and filling the beds helped me get a few patients of my own at your level.
