How do you get a neglected child back?
my child on the sims 4 just kept playing the gaming rig while she was starving and had very low hygiene, I tried making her go get food but the gaming rig wasn't done until she finnished so i cancelle...

I don't know if this would help, but I had MC Command Center help me get my child back from that 'bug'.
In Mc Command Center, I had an option that if my child was taken away it would be adopted by a household in the Sim's world. So when that happened, I was able to find the household. I first split the household with one adult and child, and then went back to the family I was playing and put the toddler (It was a baby when it was taken away, and had to force age it to toddler) back to its family.
It does suck though because I feel like we should be able to see their needs, especially since if the baby's icon is green, most of us are not going to worry about it.
