How Do You Have Fun in The Sims 4?

For me rotational play is the way to go. I've tried some challenges, but usually don't get far because most of them involve playing the same sims/household. What makes you bored with your sims? For me I don't like if their house becomes too nice and there's not enough room for improvements and I don't like if they get too much skills or reach top of their career. I play without cheats on normal lifespan to make sure they never reach perfection. If a family bores me I will play their neighbour or someone in completely different world. Eventually it will feel nice returning to the family I was bored with. My rotational save is huge though and the process is very slow. I've been playing for years and the longest chain of generations is four. If you want the genrations to go by quicker it would be good to have a well manageable amount of households to play with.
