How do you interact with celebrities? "Attempt Introduction" Failures

How do you interact with celebrities outside of just being a fan? I keep trying 'Attempt Introduction' but I keep getting failures. Is there a solution to this? I'm LOVING this expansion overall, b...

i kept making them play chess together and they eventually started talking so i guess this tactic works
