How Many Years Married If …

If your Sims got married and then had their first child, how many years married would you consider the couple to be if that firstborn just became a Teen? Considering it takes only three Sims-days, yet in reality it's ten lunar months, which translates to nine calendar months, how long would the parents likely have been married?

Would it be:

    Really interesting question

Thank you. I'm trying to sort it out. Both parents also aged up from YA to Adults, too. They were twenty and nineteen when they married, after graduating college.

I write about what my Sims are doing. So, that's why I need to know. Otherwise, it is what it is. I'm thinking the random year I gave them wasn't long enough, so I will have to go back and edit that from a prior update. Besides, I'm a crazy perfectionist in an imperfect world, and a game that is great fun, but oftentimes makes no sense at all. LOL
  • I don't really consider the time
I have bad habit of treating my sims as if they're all vampires
if it seems like a long time then it just was mysterious amount of long time
  • I'd say 13 years, if they just became a teen. However, I suppose it really depends on how old you decide the child is now. For me, I've always imagined my Sim teens to be about 16-17.
  • Thank you so much for your opinions. This has been very useful. I also noticed that both parents upon aging up to adult, now have a change in their looks. Slight, but it's there. Fits if they are at least 35 and up. I shall be writing my update at some point today. I'm grateful for the help in sorting this curious dilemma out. :)

Looks like you got your answer but so long as fool around exists, and the kiss neck emotion being locked to them normally sims 4 teens are 18 or 19 there are rules about suggestive content in video games no matter how light so they have to be of age no way around that. It could be around 15+ years as many ficrional shows have adult couples celebrate anywhere from 15 to 20 years of marriage at some point of the series if they have teenagers, especially if they arent all 18.

Normally, I see them as at least 16. That's why when I created Erik Cantrell, he was 17 when he began his rise to fame. Graduated HS early, (yeah, he's that smart, plus he had already graduated on Vulcan) and began Uni at age 17. I saw him as 20 after the three terms at uni. Married at 20, as in practically as they left Britechester-U. Jamison came along (in game 3 days later). I may chew on this information you've imparted and if I have to edit the updates, I will. Certainly, Erik looks older than a mere 30 years old (my own opinion on when Adulthood begins). We'll see and thank you so much for weighing in. :)

I can't do it teens will never look younger than 16 to me they are older teens no way around it.

So the correct answer for me is 16 years.

same, teen sims look like slightly smaller adults and the fact that they go to highschool (even before highschool pack came out) i always put my sims at around 3 for toddlers, 10-12 for kids and 16-18 for teens and 20+ for young adult
