- SheriSim2 years agoSeasoned HotshotSo far, I usually change clothing, nails, accessories, hair styles, makeup, once in a great while hair color, and sometimes things I can change without cheats.. But since I play with aging off most of the time, many of the sims I play have been made in CAS. I have noticed that in game sims usually look ok as a children, sometimes they look a bit strange when they get to teen years. I like being able to pick traits and control skills, likes and dislikes. I even wish we could pick the lifestyles we want our sims to have ( without cheats ).

I will often go in and change townies hair, makeup nails and accessories …… if the townies look too bad, I may get rid of them all together. - Sharooonia2 years agoNew SpectatorHair, eyebrows, clothes and makeup are almost always a must. I don't like altering their genetics unless it's a really unfortunate looking sim.
- Lucy_Henley2 years agoSeasoned ScoutHair, clothing, eyebrows. And makeup too, sometimes. I leave the genetics alone. They usually end up looking like one or other of their parents.
- ThriorTheSecond2 years agoSeasoned NewcomerI don't touch their genetics at all. I only decide hairstyle, eyebrows/facial hair, clothes, and such. I might rarely change their haircolour as well but that's not "going against genetics". I should know since there was a time when I colored my own hair blue.
- Daravi2 years agoNew TravelerIt depends on the thing that went wrong, but mostly changing the hair, bonestructure (if it's too thin) and clothes depending on the age. A senior at 60 should be looking different from a senior at 80 years or older, for example first grey then white, and add more wrinkles. Make-up will changed aswell, but normally my sims don't wear any make-up. But I choose carefully the future mom/dad in advance, and change them if needed, so I don't have to do this on the ingame-born sim. Other sims, on the other hand, get deleted very fast, if somethings doesn't fit in.
- ChadSims22 years agoSeasoned NoviceI play with the parent's genetics and keep going till I get a Sim that looks decent as a teen and work from there making slight changes to the face then revert to toddler giving it eyelashes and normal eyebrows not the base game ones making it's sure genetic features like eye color match some family member be it parent or grandparent.
- atreya332 years agoSeasoned AceFor sims born in game I always edit clothing and hairstyles. I occasionally edit the haircolours, mostly to the hair colour of the other parent. I never change the facial structure, my sims are who they are.
- Simmerville2 years agoSeasoned AceI will know from the sim's extra DNA-string (in my spreadsheet) whether they should have some freckles, how much hair they grow etc, so I will only adjust hair length and skin details. And normally just their everyday outfit. I never adjust the looks of my sims, not even the eyebrows. I really think some eyebrows should be adjusted, but I learn to accept them, LOL. *Looking at you, Crown Princess Emireza*
- I will generally only touch makeup, hairstyle, and clothes. I can sculpt a sims body with exercise and food(it's one of the coolest features in the game). Overall, I've been really happy with the born in game sims lately. Someone at EA made a really good adjustment and townies look much better too. CAS DNA Sims can be really exceptional as well.
- OrangerTabby2 years agoNew SpectatorI only edit hair and cosmetics. Nothing in CAS. I just go with the luck of the draw, just like real life.
