I miss being able to talk about the up coming packs

Well, I’m still waiting for a beach world that is Sims 4 sized, then. I just want a beach world, period. I want to see how Sims 4 would do a beach world.

Now.... The part I’m curious about is how they’re going to approach ocean swimming or if ocean swimming is ever going to be a thing in Sims 4. I feel it’s going to be a compromising thing, and it may be a limited ocean area where you can swim at and only in that one beach world.

It’s a good thing I still have Sims 3 if I wanted to revisit big open worlds.

I’m just living with the limitations of Sims 4’s smaller worlds, and still enjoying the gameplay we do have so far.

You know, I think I know why I and some others sometimes get somewhat anxious waiting for certain content: we don’t know if we’re ever get the content we want, and we don’t know how long Sims 4 will last. It’s been 4 years, yes? And one of the gurus mentioned that Sims most likely would go on for another three years.

So, let’s say Sims 4 has three years left. (We don’t know if it will be extended past that.) It took practically, what, two years just to get toddlers. How long will it take to get our favorite content? Will there be enough budgets, resources, and time left for our specific content?

I think this is what was sometimes drove my own anxiety/anticipation with content. For a long time, I thought Sims 4 would NEVER get toddlers, and it was an agonizing wait to see what would have become of the sims franchise.

We are all simmers, and we are all passionate about Sims. Why else are we on these Sims forums and playing Sims games?

I just hope Sims 4 can give many people what they are still waiting for one day, but in the meantime, I can get why some people are still very anxious or are impatient waiting. I was like that with toddlers (and restaurant stuff).

I’m just glad I finally got my Sims toddlers and restaurants (even if the restaurant thing is somewhat limited, but hey, my sims get to eat out!). :smile:

Any news yet? Any idea of when we will get some news? I feel like we complained about this long ago and Amanda(old community manager name?) finally got the quarterly teasers going and now we are back to no information again. Sometimes I feel like I am on a carousel with EA and this game spinning round and round.

I need to figure out a way to get over this Sim addiction. I am so glad I got over their other games and have no desire to purchase anything else with their name on it. This is the last one I need to get over.

All we can do is wait. I’ve been playing both Sims 4 and other non-Sims games like Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns, Stardew Valley, Rune Factory 4, Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse, Skyrim, etc, to entertain myself while I wait. :smile:

They are officially working on a new Sims game now. So there's that.

Sounds like wishful thinking there Brindleton as that would require an announcement from EA at least 15-16 months before something like that happens.

@comicsforlife I am trying to hang in there but it is frustrating. I am a planner with my sims and I have always been able to do that because each iteration, I knew what was coming.

well when the new stuff comes out you can start a new game thats what I do with the same sim of course @keekee
