Is anyone else often annoyed by the game's animations?

I find the conversational animations annoying and cartoonish, and that's the reason I use Poseplayer most of the time in my stories. Idle animations force my Sims to waste time when they could be doing things listed in their queue or going to work/school instead. I think the most common idles were Sims putting their fingers up in the air and saying "aha."
