Is there a better way to hide the white outlines?

I've been using a mod that is now broken (and moved behind membership obviously). Then I found that we can add a line in Origin (-nohovereffect) but in game it seems like anything that can be moved in live mode is still outlined - which is driving me nuts. All those outlines makes the game a headache to play, so I'm desoperate to find a way to turn it off. Why on earth did EA think that simmers want to see white lines every time the cursor swipes an object? In a tutorial fine, but for 7 years and running?

So - is the -nohovereffect outdated? Are there more cc mods?

    There's a cheat for it (hovereffects off), but you have to re enter it at least every play session if not after every loading screen. I think it may be incorporated in the mccc cheats module, so if you use that, maybe you can turn it off that way?

    MCCC has it, you can turn off the outlines by default, but the same issue as @Simmerville describes happens, where live draggable objects and any interactions with them are still outlined.

    Thanks both! So, MCCC will have more or less the same effect as typing the -no hovereffect in settings in Origin? I don't use MCCC so I won't get such a big mod if Origin fixes the same. I wish the Origin code would be more effective though. Basically the lines ruins my game experience as I constantly get more focus on UI than the game itself. The feeling of being inside a room gets borked, and it stresses me a lot, lol.

    @Simmerville- I use a mod made by Fogity called Hidden Highlight. The mod removes the white outline and highlight when hovering over objects and sims. Here is the link ->https://www.patreon.com/posts/mod-hidden-51813502
