This could indeed be another possible farming hint, but the addition of the faerie emojiis at the end really worries me.
It might mean they're thinking of including fae in the same pack as farming, which would quite honestly be horrible. I really don't want faeries to end up being like mermaids and aliens where they aren't even proper occults. And won't get a skill tree, or well thought out powers or anything. :disappointed:
Faeries have so much potential and shoving them in the same pack with farming is just a waste. I'm really hoping they'll be seperate, or that the team will surprise me and give us proper fae that are as good as vampires and spellcasters. For which I will happily eat my words.
But I just don't think faeries and farming in the same pack is a good idea whatsoever.
I agree, I think most people would want farming and fairies to be in a separate pack so that one pack would be dedicated to each.
Tbf in TS3 my fairies used to have farms because they had powers that lended themselves well to that - and idk somehow the themes work. Not sure if they really are in this pack but I think they could be done well ...... But then again it's TS4 ? - Joanne_Snow4 years agoLegend

While I have been wanting farming for a really long time, I am concerned that their idea of "farming" is just more gardening. Especially by the reference of the "Garden Stall" on the post card.
When I think of farming, I think of caring and tending to animals, gathering eggs, getting milk, feeding and watering the animals, befriending the animals so the quality of eggs, milk, butter, cream, wool, etc is higher. Not just gardening. We have plenty of that already in the game. What else could we harvest, we can already grow and harvest a TON of fruits and vegetables. What more could they add in a "Garden Stall"? Jams and Jellies?
So I hope that nobody else will be disappointed if the farming part of this EP (if that's what it is) is only geared towards gardening.
That's my fear and I'm definitely not getting my hopes up for anything except gardening so I'm not disappointed by what it's not.
Same here, this worries me a bit too :/ I have loved the gardening additions, but I want real farming or no farming. - Monet114 years agoSeasoned AceOf course, it could just be a destination world.

yeah they really shouldnt make any more of "just destination" no. let me live everywhere. it doesn't matter if living there makes sense realistically even just let me live everywhere

Yes everybody but did you notice there were two Crumplebottoms? A & A Crumplebottom. Are we going to meet her husband at last, or her daughter?
that does kind of scare me tho cause if she has husband... is she out of bag slapping business
or has she yet to start the slappity slaps
oooor.....
A traditional and upright woman such as Agnes would never dare do anything modern like retain her name after marriage. I could see them do the whole Spinster sisters living together trope.
Anyway, I'm doubtful there will be a Miss Crumplebottom NPC like the Sims 1 or 2 since we haven't had any specific named NPCs since the Sims 2, since everyone now ages and dies, unless, like Clement Frost, the game randomly generates a new crotchedly old lady everytime one dies.
Maybe a trait, but I imagine it would be highly annoying when any old sim with the trait interrupts your dinner date to repeatedly attack you. Maybe something like the Chivalrous trait from Medieval were sims will refuse to woohoo out of wedlock, cheat, and get uncomfortable and disgusted by public displays of affection?
In Sims 3, she had indeed been married, but was widowed on their honeymoon, before she had the chance to take his name, so she never did.- Monet114 years agoSeasoned Ace

They 100% need to find a way for us to change the world types from residential to destination OR let us live in vacation worlds. I guess they thought they were "done" when they let us take vacations in residential neighborhoods. But they totally neglected letting us live in these designated vacation worlds. They only did half the joB!
Sorry @Chazzzy . It was not my intention to give you heartburn.
However, it is not out of the question for disappointment to be on the horizon. I sincerely hope I am wrong. I just have lower expectations from this pack than previous expansions.
I also wish that sims could live in destination worlds without using mods. That would be awesome. - AncientMuse24 years agoSeasoned AceI'm going to say it three times, click my heels together, and spin around counterclockwise while rubbing my belly button under a full moon....
Please no more destination worlds.
Please no more destination worlds.

Aaaaaand poof! The curse of destination worlds has been remedied.
Your welcome. - Horrorgirl64 years agoSeasoned Ace

I doubt it would be destination world.Since this will be an expansion not game pack. - SEREFRAS4 years agoLegendPersonally, I think it will be an outside of time Brigadoon world where the present day sim could have a choice to live there or go back to their home. ;)
- bshag4lv4 years agoSeasoned AceTo me it's beginning to sound like the Scottish farmlands world on that poll by EA a long time ago. I am definitely keeping my fingers crossed!
Right now I have a mod to correct the garden fiasco that a lot of people are experiencing. It should be interesting if they are going to fix the gardening or have farms that have crops that come and go at whim. I'm a little annoyed at the current state of gardening since most of my sims garden. Hopefully the bugs will be worked out...not holding my breath. :p
