People who are active here because they love the whole franchise tend to be more objective but Sims 4-only fans could be biased and ignore criticism fully!

Anyway, TS4 is by design instant gratification. It's not that they forgot to add deep gameplay in the game, they probably decided it wasn't the direction they wanted to take the game in, with the audience they were trying to attract. It's a YA simulator and they don't try to hide it.
I'll never forgive the career nerf.
