Let us choose workdays

So I like the active/work from home careers, but I wish there was some way to choose how many days your sim has to work. It’s honestly kind of annoying that at level 10 sims still have to work five days a week, especially since the Get to Work careers have such long days, and the work from home ones occasionally have tasks like “feed yourself to a cowplant.”

I know it’s realistic for careers to have schedules like that, but it’d be nice if we could choose how many days a week our sims work, and which days they work.

You can. Just buy the Professional Slacker reward trait and you can miss as many days as you want without being demoted or fired.
  • I agree. It would also come in handy if you have more than one sim in an active career. You could put them on different schedules and go with them both to work.
  • @emmavane has it right. If you don't want to use your satisfaciton points, you can cheat with "traits.equip_trait professionalslacker"

If that doens't work, try traits.equip_trait professional_slacker" The trait cheats are weird

I always forget that one. Still, it’d be nice if we could pick exactly which days they work so I could just make it so there’s always somebody home with the toddlers without needing to make them skip work.
  • There are a number of careers I avoid just because they don't work with kids or teens in the house. I want my parents home in time to help with homework, and I hate having all my Sims on a different schedule. (Plus, I often forget that a Sim has to work if it's a weekend day. I'll have her doing her morning workout, as she would on a day off, and all of a sudden, a pop-up reminds me that I've got to get her showered and fed because she's got to work in an hour.)
