Sims creator LuniverSims shared photos of a special PR package they got from EA France. Containing three tarot cards and a letter from a new character introduced with The Sims 4 Life and Death.
My dearest family,
I share with you this note and three tarot cards from my most treasured collection. These cards have been carefully chosen, each with a unique meaning that I hope will become clear over time.
My biggest wish is that you can lead a fullfilling life while carrying on the story of our legacy. I have welcomed what many consider “the end” as a new beginning. A chance to write the chapters I was unable to complete in this life.
When you feel the signs of change, let them guide you to new horizons and deeper understanding. At that time, I know you will be ready to…

I know this is such a weird and arbitrary thing for me to focus on, and it's based on a bunch of meaningless headcanon. But I like how there are different races here, instead of the usual white (even literally white, so they're raceless.) And I'm not even talking about it from an IRL diversity angle. Because like, the games have already made references to the player/the Watcher, plumbobs, and other ways the players' gameplay actions are justified and explained in-universe. So I like to believe that in-universe, locations in the Sims 4 world can have any race, as anyone can just be spawned in by the Watcher/player on a whim. Certain locations might have more people of a certain background, but there's nothing stopping the Watcher from throwing in some more friends because they REALLY wanted to play a Selvadoradian family in Mt. Komorebi for some reason. And because anyone from any culture could look like anything, everyone was normalized to it, and concepts like racism never really developed.
So the artwork on these cards is not only lore-accurate, but lore-building.
