Mermaid question

Hi, I recently got the Island Living expansion and I have a question about mermaids. Is it possible for their hair color to be different from what it is during human form? Whenever I select a color it automatically changes both forms to the same color; I'm able to change the style, but not the color. Also, when selecting the swimwear top, it seems to have the same issue; it has to be the same for both forms. Which seems kind of odd as why would they have scales while in human form? I'm not sure if this is a bug or just the way the game was made?

    That is very odd. I've literally just checked for myself and had no trouble having different hair colors. Even if the style is the same. Make sure to uncheck little chain button above your sim portrait in CAS (The one that copies your appearance to second form).

    I noticed that some hairstyles have this glitch color changes if you make any other changes to your sim. Try to change the hair last.

    only if the two forms are linked though.
    you can unlink all of them by clicking on the little chain like ArcherDK said or check them off individually, clicking the three dots above the mermaidform should bring up the menu where you can check/uncheck which parts will be linked.

    Yes. Just unlink their forms like vampires and they can look however differently you want them to.
