My game wouldn't run with RivaTuner installed and enabled. It's an FPS (frames per second) limitation tool. If you have that, I recommend removing it.
As for the skin texture issue, it might be that your save has become corrupted if you at one point had some kind of texture mod that was later removed. That said, I've sadly no clue as to how to fix it =/

not mod-related. Yay. I've already dumped my old game saves. The one I'm working in is brand, spanking new.
