If you don't purchase a bassinet beforehand, the Department of Social Services supplies one. I've never not had a Sim be able to give birth, just because there wasn't a bassinet on the lot. Is my game broken? :open_mouth:
Not only that, but I allowed one Sim to give birth in the hospital. She had a boy and the little plastic bassinet thingie they use in a hospital was lined with a blue blanket. However, (besides the fact it's still in the operating room), the bassinet they sent home with my Sim had a pink ribbon! Face/palm. Call me old-fashioned, but sometimes in just looking at a baby, it can be hard telling their gender right off. I use blue for boys and pink (even though I loathe that color) for girls. Sometimes, I'll use the green or the yellow ones, too, depending on the decor in the nursery.
