Patch and Base Game Update Discussion (New Patch released today 7/26)

So do all the new romantic boundaries in CAS now make the Jealous trait redundant? 🤔

That's the question.  Logic would say that even with all of the new settings set to "No", a Sim with the jealous trait should still get jealous if they are in the vicinity of their partner and the partner has a romantic or physical interaction with another Sim. 

Interested to hear the verdict on this.

Very valid. I agree. Let the player choose. 

As with most things, if you really don't like it there probably is, or will be, a mod for it. 🙂

Brd709, No problem. Personally, I usually plan on waiting at least a week before I get the official patches, to give the modders time to catch up. No automatic updates and offline mode are my friends. 🙂

yeah I didn't say there was a dislike or otherwise, we don't need a mod for everything like when they let all the sims wear everything they included everybody that was inclusive this isn't :)

Do I correctly understand that Sims will no longer autonomously swim in outdoor pools, ever?  If so, pool venues and pool parties are going to be really, really boring.

Well this update completely broke my game. It won't even load now. It just says "Unable to start: Initialization  error at start up." [135dec40:29f00e76:00000084:18a1dd51]. I've removed mods, uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail.

This is concerning especially on pool lots and pool parties.
