Pet Moments

I've only played with cats yet. The cat's name is Darcy, male. I dunno his breed, but he's a stout cat. I like it when he gets sick and my Sims take him to the vet. I also like it when the cat just runs around and scratches furniture or climbs on top of the refrigerator. He also sleeps anywhere, even on top of the kitchen counters lol.

I've never played with dogs yet, but of course I will someday.

I love watching puppies running too fast for themselves and face planting into the floor :D

I love the pet A.I. that really makes pets individual. My first dog was a somewhat playful, very loyal guard dog, then I had a lazy elderly St.Bernard and then I brought a hyperactive and curious stray from Selvadorada. That dog was something, constantly raising himself up at any counter he could find and zipping through the house at a speed I hadn't know possible!

My favorite pet moment is getting Mowgli from one save to another. I was playing a side save in which my Phillips family adopted a cat, said Mowgli. After finishing the side save, I wanted to bring Mowgli over the main save. I saved him to my library in the throaway save and then pulled him out again in the main save.
Now Mowgli's most distinct quirk was to eat human food whenever it was left unattended for a micro-second. But after getting imported, he didn't want any. I tried Maxis food and cc, stuff he'd had before and new things, to no avail. Finally I forced Mowgli to eat with ControlPets, but he wouldn't do it on his own anymore.
Then, a couple of ingame weeks later, I visited the Phillips family with another sim. Now guess the sight my visitor was greeted with: Mowgli on the kitchen counter, going at leftovers with abandon. Finally he was feeling at home :) and ever since he's back to his old self.

My most epic in game pet was Nugget, a random stray cat that my vet adopted.
He had a habit of sleeping in the strangest places, often outside in piles of fish or seaweed. And he always slept on his back.
Most memorable moment was when Nugget had eaten half a bowl of spoilt food and then vomited all over the vet clinic something like 20 vomit puddles ?

@jpsulsuldagdag haha I love the cats too, but I'm so mean I never let them on the kitchen counters or fridge, I always discipline them until they learn not to. I love going to the vet too. I wish we could find sick strays and take them without having to adopt them first.

@BoergeAarg61 oh good to know!! I look forward to that when the puppy ages up. Do they do it automatically or do you have to train them somehow? I want my dog to sit in front of the coup and guard the chickens haha.

@EnkiSchmidt Aw that's is adorable! I really like to cook the pet recipes on the stove. I wish there were more pet food options to cook. Mowgli is such an awesome pet name.

@MDianaSims Nugget is so cute for a pet name. So far my puppy is sleeping inside and I definitely don't want him to sleep in a trashpile lol. I've seen the pets play with them but not sleep haha.

@dogzdinner I haven't bought a robot vacuum yet. I can't seem to find it. I just see an empty dock for it in build buy :confused: I recently bought the Star Wars pack. I was playing with it today and my robot droids are definitely little pets now.

I love pets doing anything in Sims 4. Their interations with each other are adorable. I find it hard to keep my Sims for not hoarding pets, because I love them so much. I don't have favorite breeds in Sims 4, I love them all and I try to have as much variety as possible while adopting pets. Sadly, I don't usually have more than one dog per household, because walking the dog takes so much time, even a short walk takes about five hours and we can only walk one dog at a time. Cats are easier, so I can have several in one household if I want to.
My Sim cats have had kittens several times and I just can't give them away. My Sims always keep them all. :D

I think they do it automatically. At least I recall I had to ask the dogs to do something else like eating or go for a walk.
Dogs don't guard while doing something else including sleeping, of course.

Thank you! That's good to know. My rooster went missing. I hope the puppy didn't eat it. Maybe it was a fox. I'm going with the fox ate it theory. Aw my puppy is still too little to fight a fox.

I love the personalities of the pets. My Sim's cat Nugget is one of my favorite. Here she is as a kitten (the orange one). Her mom Juliet is playing with her brother Jack and Nugget is upset and screaming dramatically.

So adorable thank you so much for posting your pet photos!! :love: I couldn't give away kittens or puppies either haha, only after I age them to adults, the babies are just too cute.

I just remembered another pet moment that had me in hysterics ?

My couple were woohooing in bed with the dog in the room and the pooch went out the door, lay on the floor by the stairs and put his paws over his eyes as if he didn't want to see such goings on.

I posted this one in another thread, but it still makes me laugh. The cat just came in from outside and Morgyn began a very intense discussion with her.
