PlantSims: The Lifestate

I honestly don't care. If people want it, fine. I personally don't. I never really found the life state much fun in 2 or 3.

If they were to be given a pack of their own, I say go for it. Otherwise, I have absolutely no wish to have leafy plantlike beings wandering around my saves without my say-so.

PlantSims were a lot of fun in previous versions. Right now they're just a disappointment. We can't change their hair, we have to feed them fruit to get them to stay... They're green Sims with ugly hair. :'(

I use them as they're presented - the characters I have that like to become Plantsims are Eco-lifestyle types and it's just part of the character. Do I need them to be perma-plant? No - just grow some more fruit.

I almost voted "I don't care" because I never use them. It's a convoluted process (unless you use the ice cream maker) for a temporary effect that doesn't seem to have much use, and not even a particularly interesting story behind the process either. Then I realized that maybe if they did something with them, I'd actually want to use them more.

If they upgraded PlantSims, they'd most likely have a normal state to hide in, or only be accessible if players make them. Keeping occults as hidden as possible is the Sims 4's M.O.

I could see them upgraded to a real life state, but I have a feeling they'll be upgraded through a DLC with nature fae. I have never been a fan of the temporary life states even with the first Sims game with the frogs.

The current temporary lifestate is workable in my game. Also plantsims don't interest me much.

No, I'm not really interested in PlantSims becoming a life state.

I've played several PantSims, but it's been a while since I played my last one. If I remember correctly, I didn't have a problem keeping them hydrated but I did run into trouble keeping their hunger bar up, especially at night. I think they had to siphon energy from plants and trees growing around their homes. The plants took a hit from being drained so they weren't allowed to use anything in their garden unless they had planted a few spares to use for energy. I think we had grow lamps in Sims 2 but we don't have anything like that in Sims 4. I recently read that an ice cream maker can be used to make plant matter by a Sim that has Level 8 Cooking. I'm going to have to check that out.

A couple of years ago I had Salim Benali become a PlantSim so he could work on the Bodybuilder aspiration. The energized buff lasted long enough for him to finish the aspiration without taking any of his lazy naps. He was never the same after that. He never dozed off during dinner dates or anyplace else.

I never wanted any of my PlantSims to stay a PlantSim for longer than the 5 or 7 day buff they got. At least as they exist now.

OTHER

Just because we have a free treestump full of magic beans and a sim who turns a pathetic shade of green when he walks through Tree Stump Magic Bean Portal, doesn't mean I'm not willing to pay for full fledged Plantsims.

Perhaps it's just me, but I've always seen Plant Sims as a type of Fae and I would be happy to spend money on a more interesting Plantsim lifestate as part of a Fairy / Occult Pack. Plus I'd want to CAS them or I don't want them at all.

Remember Sims 3 Late Night was shipped with a vampire life state. If I wanted a more fleshed out vampire life state I'd have to get Supernatural. They are both expansion packs which means that I have to pay twice for vampires (which I did).

So depending on how Plantsims are presented in The Sims 4 I'd be happy to pay for them once.

Same goes for Grimmy. Grimmy is a basegame NPC. Doesn't mean Full fledged Grimmy grameplay should then be free as well.
Give me a Grimmy career and a Netherworld and I'd be happy to not save money!
