the hypocrisy of it bugs me the most. unless we actually fundamentally change our entire consumerist way of life, and put an end to the fashion industry as we know it, shopping as a form of entertainment, travel as we know it including cars, and disposable and short-lifecycle goods manufacturing and chemical industries and agribusiness as we know it...picking up trash and feeling virtuous cuz we made something pretty, is just kidding ourselves and scented candles ain't gonna fix it.
