OP, it's bad programming plain and simple. This has happened to me a few times in the game. On dates or not on dates. Relationships (both) full and motives full and happy, happy. It's just bad programming because one would think if everything is 'perfect' there was no reason to refuse. I was told too it had to be me and me missing a trait or whatever. No, it's the bad programming of the game.
