I agree. I don't hate Sims 4- I think it has done a lot of good things, but at the same time, it has taken lots of things away, which were good in the past games, thus making TS4 feel incomplete and limited. The previous titles were so enjoyable, even without the expansion packs and you had so much content and so much to do.
I have never played TS1, but I am a huge fan of TS2 and did play TS3 for a while (my pc cannot handle it). And I have to say that 2 and 3 had some sort of magic TS4 simply does not have. It's the attention to detail, the secret things you can discover, the detailed whims and personalities of the sims or random events that are thrown at you and shake your game up that made these games unique. I think that in TS4 you have too much control over things (oh the irony)- everything ALWAYS goes according to plan and at times you can end up feeling bored. What makes me sad is that TS4 has the potential to do what the older games did. I still like it and play it, don't get me wrong. But I do share the ''the good old days'' feelings with the rest of you.
