Sadly we have to rely on mods for this, and thankfully there is a proper intensely popular option that surprisingly has millions upon millions of downloads (and the author is making a killing in patreon), so I guess a lot of simmers do want such things. Things like juice instead of alcohol, nectar instead of obvious wine, bubble maker instead of the obvious hookah they are, bleh. Hell I'm 24 and the whole light hearted comedy theme of the sims gets old real fast. But I guess you cannot please everyone.
