Soon? No. Because you already know the next two packs that are coming out, one stuff pack and one GP which covers from now until Nov. So, soon? no. Next year or the year after isn't soon. Soon would be like the first six months of the release of the base. So, maybe the twelth of never.
Cars could be coming in a Free Update.- I think the biggest problem with cars will be the whole district thing. Sims 3 had fully open neighborhoods so the sims could just hop in and drive from point A to point B, Since Sims 4 lacks that, you'd be limited to just driving around each district with loading screens everywhere. They could add cars but I see it as just a different option than using the phone to travel someplace, maybe with a few interactions tossed in while it's parked.
- When you say 'soon' I doubt it; but I think it will come eventually.
- I think we will get cars and possibly not that long to wait. I think the newer worlds seem to have greater areas open to sims to walk before hitting a loading screen. We also know they will go back and change things in older packs, seasons, terraforming, wading in water. So I think there is nothing to stop them, apart from time and the desire, to altering the routing in older packs to allow driving. I read above that horses are more likely, perhaps, but they would also have to be able to route in the open areas. I appreciate they would work more like boats (bear with me here) in that they would just have to be able to walk around open areas, as boats can travel in multiple directions in water. Cars would have to route more directly along roads and on to drives.
When we get them, I think they will be a free update, I truly don't think they could get away with charging after all these years. The cars themselves, as items, will be bought, but the ability to have them will be in an update. I also think late this year or early next. - I really do not care if we get cars or not, I just want them to keep working on and truly fixing what wrong in our game. They seem to be doing that now and not just laughing at pretending fixes.
On the other hand, We could have cars and drive them like in Sims 2,(you know the disappearing after takeoff) then park them in inventory like in Sims 3 parking in inventory worked well, yes they had addable driveways for most, not all lots), when not at home they parked the car in their inventory.. If you do not have a lot for a car either keep in inventory or not use a car in some lots.
They could also add a driving video for each city just short, but it should look like that city then fade out when loading screen is done, they could even push it further if they like and change the seen to the new city you are now arriving to. Or just make us roads they could if they want. I just would like to see the loading of sims into and out of the car, that means everyone going.
We should be able to add a driveway and garage to most homes.

If they just allow one person in the car, I would rather not have it at all. Why would I say that, because of what they just did in Island living, One Sim at a time in the boats?
This only one Sim can ride in a boat, leaving out your family and all couples not enjoying the boat together, was a big mistake, that they should correct as soon as possible.
They just need to STOP saying what impossible and what they can not do and just work on a way to do what simmers want, sure it's possible. If I made water in a world with none, roads where there were none, that cars bikes and motorcycles could drive on., (and I did) Surely all the extremely Educated people at EA can.
Maybe if they just stop thinking so high tech, and just think of common sense solutions they can do it. And if they can not, then find a program that can make what they need.
The Sims games have been around for years and years proving if they make what simmers want in the game, the Sims game will take care of them.
I am not sure if they care to give simmers cars, perhaps they think they have convinced us that we can not? I think its a matter of will they add cars and not if we can have cars because we can.
They can make Sims 4 world more open, but will they? We know we are getting magic, will they include cars?
Whenever you tell people to pick cars you want in the game, and we all picked cars we wanted and even added pictures, to me that was a promise to us that cars are coming to our game, They should keep that promise. - amber_ilumire7 years agoSeasoned AceNo. The boats in IL can’t be equated to the possibility of cars imo. They don’t function as transport in the sense that you can’t use them to travel between lots. They’re more of a plaything specific to Sulani and made with the IL world in mind.
I think that if they were going to introduce cars it would have been done already. Added into a patch or gamepack maybe like the reintroduction of pools and toddlers. Some lots aren’t even accessible to roads. Cars would be nice if the world was open, but to add them now wouldn’t really add much difference. It would just be another couple seconds of new animation and another loading screen like ts2. The only appeal I can see in cars personally is the aesthetic and I’m not sure they would spend the time on it when there are so many other things to be added into the game. - Conclue7 years agoSeasoned VanguardI am hopeful that they are working on cars. It might be an epic "free update for 5 years of the sims 4" thing. I would imagine that they wouldn't be hyper realistic, as so many lots don't have street access (which shows how the Sims 4 team is too like diviiid up in their work and design tasks) and that they might work like a hybrid of Sims 2/3 where if you have a lot with street access, you would be able to drive in and out of driveways but if not, you would just be teleporting to your car on the street...maybe they will have parking spaces and lots and stuff like that.
Who cares at this point, I just want cars. LOL
One of the best moments in my Simming life was when we first got cars and garages in Sims 2. My families children were home and they were playing video games in the family room. Suddenly the garage door opens, an the sound of the car comes in and they park. They kids stopped what they were doing and ran to go greet their parents. #Magic.
It was the best thing since 3D. That and ocean lots. lol I'm saddened the waves in Sims 4 are so weak. I feel I will be modding the heck out of Sims 4. lol "Conclue;c-17144963" wrote:

I understand what you are saying about you just want Cars. I think having Cars would change SIms for the Better like Seasons.
But what really caught my eye was what you said about the waves in Sims 4, I was thinking the waves are nearly none there.? So not having the pack I imagine that further out it was large waves hitting the rocks, and even further out larger waves coming in toward the shore. I hope I was right in my thinking. To me to have water with good waves means everything, seeing and hearing the waves splashing against rocks you can just sit there for hours just enjoying the sounds of the seagulls and watching the waves.- alanmichael17 years agoSeasoned AceI think we will get a Cars GP with a new world with long circular roads and perhaps a mechanic career or gas stations. I see no point in implementing cars into older worlds because many of them have no streets or are crowded with ugly fake cars.

I would gladly accept a world with cars, at least we would have cars in our game. We have accepted swimming in only one world so it will be ok. Also if we get nice cars to put in all of our cities that would be welcome.
