It's a missed opportunity. I know a lot of folks hate it when some players compare TS3 to TS4 but we got Brave & Coward in TS3 base game. The scared emotion is a nice addition to the base game but I'd rather brave be a cas trait so it would actually impact a sims behavior and not just dampen an emotion.
@Bobisbae yeah, the devs always add one-sided things to the game, when IRL we're not blac or white. There are brave people, there are coward people, but there's a huge range of other people in between them. I just think that they should've added more options. Maybe they'll update it afterwards, and then it'll make sense that the brave trait is in the reward store, cuz it will give you the option to be fearless. But maybe in CAS they could add separate options like fear of fire (but nothing else), fear of dogs (but nothing else), fear of water (but nothing else) etc...
