Yes, happened to my 4 sims while dancing I turned on the romantic aura thing on that bottle of wine. Wow, things did not go well for the married couple for 21 hrs and their facial expression showed it. No more of that with my married sims.
Just give them both the Player trait, and you won't have to worry about it ruining their marriage. Of course, the Player Trait is a License to have consentual extra-marital relationships with no hurt feelings.
