Wow :/ Looks like I picked entirely the right week to return to the forums. For a semi-casual observer, this is all a rather heady mixture of hilarious & tragic.
I'm glad that I bought additional content ( for at least half-price!) for TS4 when I did, because there is no way that EA is getting a penny more from me after this. It's beyond shameful. Obviously, this little gem didn't turn up in the quarterly teaser because they wanted customers to buy Jungle Adventure. I imagine there's more than a few who would have held off if they knew just how low EA are prepared to stoop to get that all of that lovely monies.
I feel for those of you who are invested in this game, both emotionally & financially; & relieved that I ditched it when I did. Recolours of existing items are now paid stuff pack content, it seems; so I can let go of my wish for any more of those to be patched in for free. How naive I was!
I don't think cash grab is even close to covering it, TBH. This is taking people's brand loyalty & affection for the series & plumming all over it. £10 for some twee recolours, a rodent that'll no doubt behave like object-babies & be chained to the cage, *another* cat condo & the pet costumes we already have repurposed to fit large dogs?! Wow...
