Thanks for posting your family here @GrumpyGlowfish <3 I can not play more than 4 sims at the same time :D I get dizzy and I always neglect someone... Your family is great, I love the story, my fav is Stelmaria (is she wearing CC, her hair?). I love your teens, I always have fun with them. One of my fairies is still a teen. How do you create their names? The dinning room picture is my fav!
Around four sims is also my preferred household size for pretty much the same reasons, but with the Popescus, I wanted to create the impression that they're a big, renowned magic family exploring all different kinds of magic. As for their names, they're supposed to be Romanian, so I just looked up Romanian given names and picked a few that sounded nice (although I also know someone called Cătălin in real life). Stelmaria is the exception, I got that one from a novel I read years ago and don't even know if it's a real name, but I like it. And yes, both her Asari hair and the scarf she's wearing in the dining room are CC.
I started playing with a new magic family today (this has to be my... sixth, I believe?) featuring the witches from the original Charmed (1998). I didn't want to make them at first because of how different magic works in their show, but when I thought about it, I was surprised how easy it was to reconcile with the game after all. Ladies and gentlemen and all the others, meet

First of all I have to admit that these sims as well as the house they're living in were not made by me, I merely edited them. I don't have my game on at the moment, but if anyone is interested, I'm going to look up and share the names of these incredibly talented creators the next time I play.

In this alternate universe, all four Halliwell sisters are alive together in the manor, working on their plan to become as powerful as possible and overthrow the sages at some point, and that includes ...
Prue

... who canonically died at the end of the third season. Her primary power on the show was Telekinesis, which doesn't exist in TS4, but Practical Magic can do many things that you would use telekinesis for if you could (like cleaning the house, making the garden tend itself, etc.), so that became her preferred style of magic in my game. Once she's advanced enough, she will also learn the cloning spell of the untamed style because that closely resembles her power of astral projection, and I wonder, since she's also an archaeologist in reference to her work with antiquities in early seasons, if the clone can be told to help her dig out artefacts and defuse traps in Selvadorada. When at home, Prue works as a freelance fashion photographer along with her deceased lover Andy who came back as a raven familiar to watch over her.
Piper

Arguably the strongest of the Halliwell sisters when it comes to raw demon-stopping power, especially since she learned Molecular Combustion, it's only fitting for Piper to be a master of arguably the strongest school of magic in TS4, Untamed Magic. As chance would have it, that school also teaches two powers that suit her actual powers on the show, Inferniate and Chillio. (Technically she blows things up rather than just setting them on fire, and the victims of her other power don't actually freeze in ice, but close enough.) Despite this, Piper is the most down-to-earth of the sisters when it comes to using magic, preferring to cook meals and repair broken objects the old-fashioned way, with her hands, and sometimes resorts to a little alchemy when that doesn't suffice. Her familiar is a fairy called Leo.
Phoebe

Now here's where things get tricky, because Phoebe's power to see the future isn't a thing in TS4 at all, and her other power of Empathy is only available to aliens. But if you look at the bigger picture and just accept that her powers in general revolve around the mind (and in the future episode of Season 2, she actually finds a way to attack people with it), you'll see that Mischief Magic offers quite a few ways to control the minds of other sims. Add to that the fact that Phoebe was the most mischievous of the sisters before Paige came along, and everything just falls into place! She's also the only witch in this household who uses a broom for transportation because that was yet another ability she gained at some point on the show, and as with the others, her familiar (a bunnerfly) is named after her significant other, Coop.
Paige

For those of you who never got that far with the original Charmed, Paige was the result of an affair of the other sisters' mother with her whitelighter (a witch's guardian angel of sorts), introduced in the fourth season to replace Prue after her death. As such, she gained a mixture of whitelighter powers (which include healing and teleporting) and a variation of Prue's primary power (but instead of actual telekinesis, she just teleports objects directly into her hands, or wherever she needs them). I made her a doctor in my game to reflect her whitelighter nature, and she also uses a few practical spells similar to Prue (especially Teleportalate, for obvious reasons), but her main focus is on Alchemy. She's the only sister whose familiar is a pet and not named after a lover, but Kit, after the sisters' real cat familiar on the show.

Should I introduce the evil Mamminis in detail next, or are they already well-known forum celebrities by now? >:)
