There will be NO Quarterly Teaser next quarter...why?

According to this lovely post by EA_Mage, there will be no quarterly teaser for this upcoming quarter, but yet new content is coming. The only question really here is why we are not having a quarterly...

Am I the only one who thinks a GP is simply too small to warrant the focus of the sims being at EA play? it seems to me that an EP is the only type of pack that it could be.
