The items themselves aren't bad, but it's mainly the oversaturation of CAS items that makes turns it off for some people. Like LGR said "I thought this was a Cool Kitchen stuff pack, not looking Cool in the Kitchen."
I really do agree with this though. I wanted some really nice looking kitchen utilities and nice looking island counters, but they look so basegame-ish, I barely noticed the difference.
