Man, long life span, and problems with grinding? I think you are grinding too hard, you will end up with nothing to do and then they will seem boring.
Sims 4 I think can seem to objective oriented, and people end up "power gaming" I often find myself doing this, and my problem is, if I treat the objectives like the game focus, family members quickly run out of goals and end up being props for my "main character"
I have calmed down now when the math is clear. Yes, I could have removed the 100 000 from the vault, and lowered the bills to only 18 500 (ish) from 23 200 (ish) but hey, what are vaults for except having woo-hoo in piles of cash???
Point is before I saw that I could easily pull ahead of the bills anyway I was quite stressed.
Not a problem anymore:
Lena makes 4200 a day
Lucy makes 3500 a day
Their royalties on Simtube videos is varying between 5000 and 5500 a day
They have a weekly investment payoff of about 11 000. SOooo no. 23 thosand is barely a dent in their fortune, it turns out!!
As for grinding in general, I tend to grind until they reach the top of their career, and then relax from there (and in the process complete 3 or 4 aspirations, giving them more than enough points for the slacker trait).
