- I rarely maxed out toddlers skill (without cheat) unless I planned to play as that toddler until adulthood to begin with. I usually just ignore them.
- Sharooonia6 years agoSeasoned AceI love the toddlers, they're so cute. I was so disappointed when they weren't in the game when it released that it made me not play.
The only thing I dislike about toddlers and children is the constant mess they make with paint splatter. It's just so unrealistic for a child to do this all the time and the fact that disciplining them for it has no effect beyond filling the responsibility meter. I would like that they can learn not to do something after being disciplined. Pets can learn not to do naughty things after being disciplined so why can't children? - Beardedgeek726 years agoSeasoned AceHad to break down and cheat their needs; got in a spiral where all four family members had less than 5% energy and less than 5% hunger, which meant nobody could sleep or eat, since everyone interrupted eachother or themselves. In order to not have the adults die on me I had to cheat the kids to full needs so the adults could sleep.

But that's the only reason I HAVE kids in the Sims: to play as them. - No. I like having loads toddlers at the same time. They're adorable.
- Lizzychicago6 years agoSeasoned AceI rarely play, though I have been recently, but I never play toddlers because they're annoying. IF I did play them, however, I'd have no qualms about raising every thing that needed to be raised and then aging them up immediately. lol
- Toddlers are toooooo damn cute, I love so much about them. Although they do feel lowkey pointless sometimes, I like the life stage, even if it's just for the cute clothes and interactions

They're cute in theory, but I basically don't have time. I feel I never have time to do any cutesy stuff and I'm not sure how anyone else do.
Between trying to keep the toddler's needs up, teach them skills enough for them to earn a perk or two, and keep the adults from dying... Seriously, how do you have time? Because I have only had the toddlers for a week and I am out of vacation days already. I will have to either hire a baby sitter or sell their house. - elliebreton6 years agoLegendHow do you not have the time? Lol.
This current family, for instance, has a dad in the culinary career and mum is a freelance writer. Their two older kids were at school today, dad was off work (mum is freelance anyway) and they took the twin toddlers to the park for the day. So much fun!

Even if you have both parents in full time jobs, there are always weekends or days they are not working that you can enjoy some family time. And there is daycare or the option of a freebie elder live-in relative ;)
For skills - I tend to not particularly push them, I just plod along and they pick up skills without me really trying (whatever their age). - Beardedgeek726 years agoSeasoned AceAgain, how?
Both parents working. Lucy can work from home, but she usually don't have time to do her task so she earns 0 simolions then. She is dead tired and passing out when Lena comes home (also dead tired).
Twins constantly needy, the only respite i have found is to buy the worst beds so they sleep longer.
And i guess skills is a choice, but if I am not going for the traits I might just age up them immediately after they come from the hospital, right? Just age them up twice.
