Apparently simguruninja has changed his X page header picture to a snapshot of Tomarang, so I grabbed the pic for us all to stare at with our sooper-sleuth magnifying glasses :D

It seems as if the world is surrounded by water and those look like islands off in the distance? I'm hoping we can jump on one of those long-tail boats and do some island hopping (like Sulani). Of course island hopping means changing neighbourhoods, so there would be a loading screen, but I'm okay with loading screens if it means my sim can go on adventures by boat. *fingers crossed*
And it looks like maybe we can walk from the city neighbourhood, across the bridge, and over to the jungle-y looking place where the botanical gardens might be?
The place in that screenshot looks gorgeous. I think I will like this new world. I wonder if the boats are functional or just deco. - AncientMuse22 years agoSeasoned Ace

I'm thinking those particular boats are probably deco, but it might be possible that we can buy our own long-tail boats and launch them on the beach (or a dock) because that style of boat would have the exact same animations as the boats from Sulani, so why not re-use it for a new style of boat traditional to this world? Southeast asian culture is defined by its surrounding oceans/waterways (food, jobs/careers, economy, etc).... so I'm really hoping they've integrated boats for this world. I'm hoping two sims can share them.- i_love_frogs_112 years agoSeasoned Ace

I guess they wanted to add some rabbit hole locations to fill out the world and they thought an animal sanctuary would fit with the world and would be somewhere we’d like to send our sims. And maybe we’ll get some animal-themed buffs and hear some animal sounds or something.
All assuming it is a rabbit hole, of course.
I'd be sorta fine with it being a rabbithole if it also has a pop up gift shop option. Like when you order stuff online or at stalls, maybe those smaller plushies we saw, tshirt, toys, specific small potted plants. - FreddyFox12342 years agoSeasoned AceThe world looks really beautiful - I hope we start seeing a lot more pics of it now, as we haven't really seen all that much so far.
My guess is that those boats are just decorative. It reminds me of the boats in San Sequoia that look so much like they should be functional, but aren't. (Just trying not to get my hopes up: I'll love it if we can actually use them!) - crocobaura2 years agoLegendThere is no dock area to help sims enter and exit the boats, so most probably they are just decorative. But it would be lovely if we got boats our sims could ride on and explore what looks like lots of little islands.
- evilyn_372 years agoSeasoned AceI feel like if the boats were functional, they would’ve been in the trailer. People have been asking for boats especially that seats two or more Sims for a while.
- i_love_frogs_112 years agoSeasoned Aceprobably, I really would like even just one 2-seater boat to fish or go for a boat ride :( *edited, cause what I saw was just a firefly :D

There is actually one boat in the trailer, under the bridge behind those bathing. It might be deco though, but someone investigating it stated there is a sim in that boat. I did not study this thoroughly, so I'm not confirming anything... Aaand if it was a feature, it might have been highlighted a bit more, agreed...
Stunning picture! It really looks like a world to look forward to!
