What do you think of Get Famous?

Im excited. Although personally I was hoping for a University/Supernatural EP, being able to make my sims celebrities has always been on my "Do want!" list. I have plenty of sims destined for the limelight! And so far so good, Im liking what I see for content so far. Although fame does affect other careers I am hoping that acting isnt the only one introduced. I'd love my sims to be famous models as well. But if there isnt, its not a deal breaker for me.

Happy for the people who are excited for it though! I guess it just doesn't suit my game play.

This is not what I was waiting for in the first place. I hoped for a beach-world. Besides, is this theme pack consistent enough to be considered as an Expansion Pack? I would think of it as a Game Pack rather than an Expansion Pack.

Don't know yet, let's wait to see what's inside. Maybe I'll buy it, but it's not one of my priorities.

The Ifs, Ands and Buts have won this thread. More people (combined) who think it's meh/o.k., not getting it, and or would but..and or it should have been a GP, out number those who can't wait. That says a lot (whether they get it or not) what people feel about Maxis' direction with this one. Maybe they should have worked on witches or University instead. 192 vs 161.

I pre-order as soon as that option was available. I'm excited to dive in!

I'll wait for a 50%-off sale, but I might get it if the reviews and 'let's play' videos show me something I consider worth the cost.

I have never been into vampire themes, but TS4's vampire pack was --quite unexpectedly-- a lot of fun for me. (I'm not doing anything with the vamps in my game atm, but I'm still glad to have 'em there. Every now and then I find one stalking one of the households I play. Usually I have the house doors locked against everyone who's not in the HH, and the vampire just stands outside the door moping until dawn, which is good for a laugh. However, I also had one HH experience a vamp-intrusion several nights in a row. I quickly locked the room doors for the sims I liked, and let him feed on the one who deserved it. Take that! :naughty: )

I'm even less interested in celebrity themes (I would hate becoming famous), but the team may make this one as much fun as the vampire pack. We'll soon find out!

Speaking of Ninja, it would be interesting to see a sim become a famous tech guru. Then, maybe the sim gurus could be in the game!

Maybe we should start another poll after more info comes out on Monday. ;)
