Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wait until today.
I loved lurking on the what happened in your game today thread so I thought would create a new one here.
So what's happened in your game today?
Today in my game I was playing as a character I created, Lauren Lord. She's an young adult, who dreams of being an author and a mom. Currently she's working as a school teacher, but today she had no work, she stayed at home and played chess and tended to her plants (when it wasn't raining!).
I also made this new Sim :) hope the pic works!

It is an exciting time for Aurora and Tre with the opening of their farm shop nearly here 🙂The photos of Aurora riding Peanut and Sprit are lovely! It is very sweet that Kya has her first dollhouse, which is a farmhouse 💗She is very cute trying hard to master standing up ❤️I hope that you will be able to work out the name for the farm shop!
With the grand opening of the farm shop just a day away, Aurora cleared her mind by spending time with Spirit and Peanut. Peanut really misses competing and so does Aurora.
Kya got her first dollhouse, a little farmhouse.
Kya is working hard learning to master standing up. Any day now she should complete the standing milestone.
Everything is ready for the farm shop's grand opening. Everything except the name, which I haven't come up with yet. 😁
It was nice that Emily and Henrietta enjoyed time together on the swings. I hope that Ryan goes well in his new Astronaut career. It was good that he repaired the shower to help his Dad in his small business. It was great that Theodora’s date went well. It is a sweet photo of Jaylah and Indigo having fun playing together at the dollhouse ❤️It was good that Theodora and Sarah enjoyed their time at the creative co work meetup. It was great that Theodora was able to clean the canal of the bike parts! It will be helpful for Sarah to have PK as her mentor, and help to raise her skill quicker.
Michael is having a nice chat with a friend...and he's in a hysterical mood, looks like's he's having a fun chat.
By the time Michael went off to work, his hysterical Mood was gone, and he was just very playful.
And, after school, Jaylah had Henrietta come over (They have Aunt-niece relationship as Jaylah's brother Henry is Henrietta's dad), and while Jaylah off doing something else (going to sleep, I think? I think she was pretty tired when she got home) Emily spent some time with Henrietta, with pushing her on the swings.
Theodora was going to work out some more on treadmill, but instead, she introduced herself to Annalise here. (And I clicked "pick up line" and it went off well, and they both entered a flirty mood ), so Theodora did a bit more flirting with Annalise.
And right before Annalise walked away, they took a picture together.
The next day, Ryan got a job. He's now in the Astronaut career. And without any prompting from me, after he joined, he went straight to the rocket ship and took off.
And once he was back on the ground, he went off to repair a broken shower in his dad's small business, the business was open and they were down to one shower, that won't do at all. Afterward, I had him do an upgrade on one of the showers...and while he was doing that his mother Emily decided to go use the rocket ship? That was completely on her own. Which meant Ryan had to wait for the rocket ship to come back before he could work on it.
Theodora asked Annalise out on a date - they went to the gym in Willow creek. They started their date upstairs
And afterward they went downstairs, and did some working out.
The date went super well! And when the date ended, Theodora stayed at the gym to get a bit more working in, and she got home super late...early? It was early morning by the time she went home.
After school that day Jaylah invited over Indigo after school, and they played at the dollhouse, having a good time.
And over to Inverstad Theodora and Sarah went, as the creative cowork meetup was on, okay Theodora didn't come for that, she came for the fishing. She focused on cleaning the canal - she got a couple of bike parts!
And Sarah focused more on the meetup, painting and meeting the folks that came to it.
She even got some mentoring for a little bit before the meetup ended too.
Oh, and the sim who is mentoring her in the above screenshot, the guy with the red hair? That P.K, a good friend of her mom, Emily and when the meetup was over, and Theodora and Sarah went back home, P.K came over for a visit. and since P.K had dropped by for a visit, Sarah took the chance to ask him to be her mentor, and he said he would!
Happy birthday to Bailey! 🎂 She is a lovely child 💗It was nice that she left the crowded kitchen, to quietly age up and celebrate this special stage in her life. It was lovely pictures of the party and seeing each other greeting one another. It was a special touch also that Reese brought his family’s special present❤️ She will be excited when she opens it.
The big day that Cat and Alexis have been waiting for has finally arrived. The whole family was coming over to celebrate Baileys birthday. This moment was especially important to Catalina
Bailey received so many hugs, thankfully she’s a charmer. She loved hugs
Sonia was able to laugh about her snowboarding injury now, she shared the story with her sister. Catalina couldn’t help but laugh, she knew the pain well but not from snowboarding. It was from the times Tal used to buck her over his back.
Alexis greeted everyone entering, she was glad her mother in law made it
“Happy birthday Bailey” from step grandma Kelly. Walking into the room Reese nodded with a smile to his mother by the fridge, he placed their birthday gift to Bailey in the living room for her to find.
When it came time to prepare the cake, Bailey insisted on helping, while she helped her mom and aunt Sonia, Colette began to prepare some sweets.
With the candles lit, Catalina lifted her toddler one final time.
Everyone’s cheers surprised her, “It’s all for you pumpkin”. She was shocked
Being placed back on the ground, everyone prepared to grab a plate of cake. While Bailey walked to a more quieter room to celebrate.
Away from the crowded kitchen, Bailey aged up
