Plus, I don’t know I’m I’m comfortable knowing other players have designed stuff, no offence to any of you guys but I don’t really want players touching my game lol I know it’s weird, but I would rather the Devs just put in the effort themselves.
To me, whether it's the developers themselves making the pre-made lots or other players making them, it's the exact same scenario: Someone else getting first dibs on building in MY game. I'd rather at least see some competent pre-made builds than ones with ugly floor plans; terrible furniture, wall, and flooring choices; and stairs to nowhere because no one gave the place a once-over before shipping the game. If I can't have the option to start with all worlds blank and ready for me to fill in when I start a new save (no, not by carefully maintaining a clean save on the side, by clicking an option when starting a new save to have all lots empty to be filled as I please as I play, thank you very much Sir/Madam/Esteemed Fellow Sentient Being), I'd like whatever was plopped in through someone else's vision to at least be aesthetically pleasing and not some slapped-together garbage. If all the nice, big lots in any new world will be filled with pre-built houses, I want to at least be able to look at those and go, "Eh, at least it's a nice build," not, "I can't believe they wasted a nice, big lot on a piece of trash like this!!"
So, yeah, I want either competent pre-made builds by any means necessary, or a check box or drop-down menu option on starting a new save to have all pre-made lots bulldozed so I can have a nice, clean canvas to work on without having to nursemaid a clean save on the side.
No I hear that but that’s where we differ. I don’t mind ‘official’ people that make the game doing things ‘first’
I just don’t want them using simmers to do it. If I wanted other people’s builds, I’d use the gallery. When I first buy a game I want only EAxis people to have touched it. I’m weird like that.

Mainly, I hate how the pre-made stuff always takes up the good, big lots and leaves players with just the smaller ones in a world to build on most of the time, in a game where you can't even add new, custom-sized lots at your leisure. Heck, there's not even an option when starting a new save to move your family onto a lot but totally bulldoze it so you can just get the land! That really irks me! As I've said before, in TS2, I never played the pre-made worlds, I always made my own and built them up as I went. I'd make a household, plop down a big blank lot, move them in, build a house, do the same with the next couple of households, build some stores and a park and a videogame arcade, and keep adding things as my game progressed and I found I needed a new venue for one reason or another. Even when I play TS3, I can at least add new, custom-sized lots to their worlds, so it's not too bad. In TS4? My freedom to build as I play has been nerfed considerably. I can only start out on the lots the game wants me to start out on, I can only build functioning venues of the types the game wants me to build, I can't add custom-sized lots to my worlds...it's really frustrating.
The atmosphere in some worlds, like Windenburg, is nice and all, but they traded player freedom for it, and that's not really a fair trade-off at all in my opinion.
