I don't play rotationally because I tend to get hyper-focused on achieving whatever I'm aiming for with one household. I am going to try to play more rotationally, however. That taxation idea sounds fun. I've never gotten absurdly high bills in any of my households (not even the rich ones!), but I'll try it.
Since I've figured out how to work the population controls in MC Command, I like to tamper around with that. One generation will pass with few births in my game and the next, I will allow a "baby boom". For some reason, I get a laugh out of seeing how much my town can populate and the families can really get complicated (forget family trees; I need a map!).
